A Letter from us

Dear secondary school students,

The Field is the first global journal of the arts written by secondary school students for secondary school students – and any other interested readers. Our aim is to create a platform for conversation and exploration for students who are interested in the arts, and to bring discussions about the arts to students whose schools don’t offer that opportunity.

We hope to publish the best research, commentary, and essays surrounding the arts world by secondary school students from around the world and we invite you to help us unfold our vision. We extend a warm welcome to any secondary school student who has work related to art that they would like to share. Acceptable genres include research papers, personal essays, interviews, critical commentary on art, paintings, photographs, and poems. We want to hear what you have to say - this is an open forum, and we want to hear from as many diverse voices as possible. While we can’t publish all submissions, your work will be carefully considered.

Thank you for considering publishing your work in The Field and we look forward to receiving your submissions.

Best regards,

The Editorial Board at The Field
